Entrepreneur, Mentor, Visionary: Ravi Kapoor Adds “Author” With Launch of His First Book

New Delhi [India]: Billed as an “Entrepreneur, Mentor, Visionary” on the official poster of Prerna Utsav 4.0, Ravi Kapoor added another title on Sunday when he launched his book SUCCESS BY CHANCE OR CHOICE at the literature festival in the capital.
Mr. Kapoor founded Tushar Gems and Jewellery Pvt Ltd (tushargems.com) in Karol Bagh, Delhi, in 1998 as a first-generation business. The company, a member of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), now has stores in Gurugram and Karol Bagh. In 2025 he launched Gemwix, a gemstone brand that sells IIGJ-certified stones in sealed packs with a printed MRP, and has since introduced a franchise model for the brand.
As a mentor, Mr. Kapoor speaks to young people about choices and preparation, a theme he has also taken up as a TEDx speaker in a talk titled Success by Chance. He has said that young people who want to enter the gemstone industry can meet him at the company’s Gurugram store on Sundays, after reading his book. He is also a member of BNI Gurgaon’s Ignite chapter.
Addressing the audience at the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Mr. Kapoor said opportunities come to many people but turn into success only for those who are prepared. He spoke about building his business without the internet or AI tools, about seeing that gemstones in India had no brand, and about continuing to travel abroad for new opportunities, most recently to China.
He said the book is for anyone who wants to do something big in life, especially Gen Z.
The launch was attended by chief guest Ashok Kumar Singh, programme president Alka Sinha, special guest Prof. Dr. Meeta Sinha, keynote speaker Rishi Kumar Sharma and welcome president Dr. C. M. Bhagat. The festival was organised by Prerna Darpan Sahityik evam Sanskritik Manch and Sahitya 24 Prakashan.
