Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Neurotherapist Shiv Azad Mishra, a well-known name in neurotherapy with over 20 years of clinical experience, has expanded his healthcare footprint with the inauguration of a Neurotherapy Research and Treatment Centre in Badlapur, Navi Mumbai. This marks the fifth clinic under his brand across India.

Originally from Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Mishra’s professional journey has taken him through Punjab, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, reflecting a steady expansion of his practice across key regions. His existing centres are operational in Mumbai, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, and Pune, with the Navi Mumbai facility strengthening his presence in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Mishra said that his centres collectively treat over 20,000 patients annually across India. “Over the last two decades, while working with patients across a wide range of conditions, I have observed that the human body has a strong self-healing capacity. Neurotherapy works by supporting this natural process through the regulation and stimulation of the nervous system,” he said.

Neurotherapy, as practised at Dr. Mishra’s clinics, is a non-medication-based approach that focuses on the nervous system using manual pressure-point techniques. According to him, the therapy aims to restore balance within the body rather than relying on pharmaceutical intervention. “In many cases, the body can manage a significant portion of the health challenges it faces when the nerve system functions efficiently,” he added.

According to Dr. Mishra’s neurotherapy is used as a supportive approach in managing conditions such as chronic pain, migraine, stress-related disorders, sleep issues, digestive concerns, hormonal imbalance, and weight management, among others. He added that the therapy focuses on improving nerve function to support the body’s natural regulatory mechanisms.

Dr. Mishra noted that the response at the newly launched Navi Mumbai clinic has been positive, reflecting growing awareness and acceptance of alternative and complementary healthcare approaches among patients.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Mishra is also the founder of Dr. Mishra Training and Research Centre Pvt. Ltd., the parent organisation that runs professional certification and diploma programmes in neurotherapy. The next batch of the training programme is scheduled to commence in March, aimed at developing trained practitioners and contributing to structured growth in the field.

Looking ahead, Dr. Mishra said his long-term vision includes international expansion, with markets such as the United States and the UAE under consideration. “One of my personal goals has always been to give back to society by sharing the experience and learning I have gained over the years,” he said.
