With the lines between design, technology, and storytelling blurring all the time, there’s a new era unfolding at JD School of Design — one that fearlessly enters the future of creativity. This is not about trends or tools. It’s about equipping the next generation of designers to create the digital world we inhabit today.

To meet the rapidly changing creative environment, JD School of Design introduced two innovative undergraduate programmes:

  • Bachelor of Digital Design & Experience in Animation & Multimedia
  • Bachelor of Digital Design & Experience in Immersive Design

These programmes are not mere course expansions—they’re entry points into the future.

Creativity Meets Code

Now, design is not just what we touch, what we wear. It’s what we engage with, what we stare at on our screens, what we see through AR filters, immersive worlds, and movie-like visual effects. JD’s new Digital Design programs are designed for this exact world—where creativity becomes code, and ideas find life through motion, emotion, and interaction.

The Bachelor’s in Animation & Multimedia plunges students into the realm of visual storytelling, equipping them to craft compelling animated stories, interactive motion graphics, gaming experiences, and digital media. From a 2D animation short to a 3D game character to a rich multimedia project, this program enables students with the tools, techniques, and vision required to excel in the entertainment, advertising, and digital media sectors.

The Bachelor in Immersive Design, however, is for those willing to craft not only graphics, but experiences. Consider Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), spatial design, and experience-driven storytelling. Students will discover how to craft digital worlds people can walk through, interact with, and become a part of—making them real architects of the virtual world.

Designed for the Designers of Tomorrow

These curricula are something greater than skill-based. They are designed for a new type of creative mind:

  • The dreamer who draws in motion.
  • The coder who finds logic beautiful.
  • The storyteller who is interested in creating worlds, not scenes.

Students will learn about concepts in storyboarding, principles of animation, 3D modelling, virtual environments, user experience, creative coding, and emerging technologies, all within the framework of design thinking and visual design. They will also get direct experience using industry-level tools and technologies, so they are future-ready from day one.

The creative industry is changing at warp speed. AI, XR, real-time rendering, and immersive tech are no longer niceties—they’re essentials. Brands require experiences, not ads. Films need visual magic. Learning needs to engage. Gaming is exploding. And it all requires designers who know both creativity and tech.

By offering such programs of the new age, JD School of Design is not just keeping up with the times—it’s ahead of the curve. It’s equipping students with the platform, mentorship, and mindset to be a leader in this ever-changing digital era.

A Legacy of Looking Ahead

For over three decades, JD Institute has been synonymous with building creative minds and adapting to the world of design changing around them. This foray into digital and immersive design is no different. It’s not about just acquiring tools or tips—it’s about building tomorrow’s leaders in design, who understand the power and responsibility that go into crafting digital experiences.

If you envision bringing a character to life, building a virtual museum, or building an AR fashion show, JD School of Design is making it all possible. These programs are for the ones who don’t just want to be part of the future—they want to create it. Because the future isn’t waiting. And neither is JD.
